WordFIX
WordFIX is an easy to use tool that can quickly repair damaged or corrupted Microsoft Word documents and recover all your text and layout information. If Word won't open your document, WordFIX will repair it and create a new document.
Using WordFIX is simplicity itself. Just select the document that Word can't read, click Recover, then save to a new document. WordFIX can usually recover a document with all layout information - styles and fonts, paragraph and page formatting, headers, footers, table of contents and so on.
When a document is too badly damaged to be repaired, WordFIX lets you recover the text so you can create a new document and reformat it. So there is no need to write that report over again.
WordFIX can repair files created with Microsoft Word 95, 97, 2000, XP, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010. It works in all Windows versions from Windows 98 to Windows 7.
WordFIX can recover Word documents from memory if Microsoft Word crashes - if it is installed at the time. It also has a multi-file recovery option - useful to repair groups of damaged files as may occur after a disk problem.
