CrossLoop is essentially a PC remote access tool similar to VNC or GoToMyPC. The heart of CrossLoop is a version of TightVNC with built-in 128-bit encryption. Installing CrossLoop is a simple matter of downloading and running the setup program and then accepting the default settings. The setup program creates a CrossLoop icon on the desktop. Next, a Share window will open containing a unique 12-digit access code. Just give this number to your helper by phone, email or web chat. They type this in to their CrossLoop client to start a connection with your computer.
When the remote helper starts a connection with your computer, you'll receive a message asking you to confirm that they should be allowed access. You retain control of your computer the whole time that they are connected and can terminate a connection immediately if you are not happy with what your remote helper is doing.
